As part of California’s goal to have 1.5 million clean energy cars on the road by 2025, state regulators approved the installation of 7,500 new EV charging stations in California. There are currently an estimated 3,600 public charging stations in California. The project, which will be developed and administered by Pacific Gas & Electric Co., represents the single largest deployment of EV stations in the United States.
